MANILA, Philippines–The PBA Press Corps named Converge super rookie Juan Gomez de Liano and NLEX ace scorer Robert Bolick as co-Players of the Week after putting up stirring performances in the respective teams’ recent victories.
Gomez de Liano claimed the weekly honor for the third time this conference after going for 32 points, six rebounds and six assists in the FiberXers’ 106-96 win over Barangay Ginebra on Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Two days later saw Bolick unload 36 points, 17 in the fourth quarter, including a go-ahead three, that enabled the Road Warriors to edge out the Titan Ultra Giant Risers, 92-83, at University of Santo Tomas Quadricentennial Pavilion.
Converge improved to 5-2 for a share of third place while NLEX equaled Rain or Shine on top of the standings at 6-2 going to the current Fiba break.
Reporters covering the PBA beat on a regular basis picked the two players from among the nominees who stood out during the period of Nov. 12 to 16.

The latest citation came after Gomez de Liano was hailed in the league’s opening week dated Oct. 5 to 12 and the period of Oct. 22 to 26.
Bolick, meanwhile, was given the Player of the Week nod twice last season.
