John Cena has four more appearances left before hanging up his wrestling boots in December. He is confirmed to appear on two different episodes of RAW, on November 10 and 17, before Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30.
Considering not everyone in the WWE Universe is satisfied with John Cena’s Farewell Run so far, the creative team might consider spicing things up and making his retirement run a little more exciting for fans in the remaining time.
Now, let’s explore three things that The Franchise Player could do from now till Survivor Series: WarGames:
#3. John Cena could bring the babyfaces together on RAW and form a team for the Men’s WarGames Match
It appears that the popular babyfaces on RAW, namely CM Punk, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and LA Knight, have not been seeing eye to eye in recent weeks. Although Punk and Jey now seem to be working together against The Vision, many believe that their alliance might not last long.
Given this situation, John Cena could appear as the ultimate babyface on the red brand and bring them all together to form a team of babyfaces for a blockbuster Men’s WarGames Match against The Vision and their allies.
If this happens, it could spark fans’ interest in the show as they are likely eager to see the babyfaces work together in the squared circle.
#2. Handpick a WWE Superstar and have him enter the Last Time Is Now Tournament
The Last Time is Now Tournament is set to kick off on the upcoming episode of RAW. The first round of the tournament will see Rusev squaring off against Damian Priest, and Shinsuke Nakamura locking horns with Sheamus.
Meanwhile, The Franchise Player is confirmed to appear on the show as part of his Farewell Tour. Since he announced that the participants for the 16-man tournament will be selected at random, Cena could handpick an up-and-coming star like Oba Femi or Trick Williams and have him enter the tourny.
Over the years, The Never Seen-17 has had a reputation for promoting emerging talents and bringing them to the spotlight. He might choose to do so again on the upcoming edition of RAW.
#1. Challenge Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship and possibly win it
John Cena might decide to win the title he has never held in his career, the Intercontinental Championship. He could challenge Dominik Mysterio for the gold on any of the episodes of RAW before Survivor Series: WarGames.
Dirty Dom captured the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 41 and has held it since then. However, making Cena’s last match in December a championship bout could be a good idea, as it would make an iconic retirement match for The GOAT. Hence, the company might consider having The Franchise Player dethrone ‘Dirty’ Dom soon.
