The Dynamite Diamond Ring is one of AEW’s most prestigious prizes. It was awarded for the first time in 2019, and former world champion MJF has won every edition of it.

Fans are overjoyed because Tony Khan is bringing the accolade back. All Elite Wrestling has announced a Battle Royale for Dynamite: Holiday Bash, which will take place this week in Manchester, England. The episode is going to be three hours long, and fans are expecting it to deliver.

The winner of the battle royal will get the opportunity to challenge for the AEW World Title at Dynamite: Maximum Carnage in January.

Many names have been announced for the high-profile match. But here are three possible candidates who could win it.

#3. Anthony Bowens

AEW star Anthony Bowens could certainly win the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal. The 34-year-old is a former World Tag Team Champion and one of the most talented names in the company. He underwent a character change this year and has improved in the ring tenfold.

Bowens is openly gay, and it is his dream to become the Jacksonville-based company’s first-ever gay world champion. He released the following statement after All Elite Wrestling Dynasty’s conclusion earlier this year.

“I’m focused on becoming a singles competitor and achieving my goals in that arena. I’m fully prepared to work hard, continue earning everything I have, and ultimately win gold. And I’d love to be AEW’s first openly gay singles champion. That’s a major goal for me, and it all starts right here, right now,” Bowens said.

The Five-tool Player might fulfill his goal sooner than expected. He might win the battle royal and go on to become world champion.

#2. AEW National Champion Ricochet

Ricochet is the inaugural and reigning AEW National Champion. He won this title in a 12-man Casino Gauntlet Match at Full Gear last month. He joined the company last year and is arguably one of the best heels on the roster. Additionally, The Human Highlight Reel is the leader of The Demand, a faction that, apart from him, consists of Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona.

The former WWE star is a strong contender to win this year’s edition of the Dynamite Diamond Ring. If he is successful and goes on to become the next world champion, he will become a dual titleholder. He could win the battle royal with the help of his teammates.

#1. Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF)

MJF is certainly a future Hall of Famer. He is one of the best in the modern era and has won every edition of the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Although he has not been announced for the above showdown, there is a strong possibility that he will return to in-ring action and win it.

The Salt of the Earth has made this accolade what it is today. He previously won a Casino Gauntlet Match at All In for a future AEW World Championship opportunity. If he wins the upcoming showdown, too, he will have a huge advantage, i.e., two shots at the world title.
